My adventures in Finglish: Travel

Places Ive been to:
Ghana, Norway, Greece, Estonia, Hungary, Spain and Egypt.
Ive also been in Portugal as a baby if it counts?
And lived in Sweden for a couple of years..

I have also been a couch surfing host a few times. Ive had guests from Russia, Spain and France. It was a great experience, I recommend!

Writing about Ghana and Spain below.

Ghana

I ended up going to Ghana with my sister because we knew some locals.
I have been in Accra, Cape coast, Paga, Koforidua, Elmina, Bolgatanga and Kumasi.

We didnt really go so much to tourist places and Im not quite sure where in Ghana that even is. Or maybe I was but it just didnt notice the tourism. Our neighbourhoods in Accra were called Taifa and Ofanko.

This dog on the left is called Troy. He liked to shake his booty like hell when he was happy.

The atmosphere in Ghana is very special and wellcoming. There is music everywhere and people liked to dance. Everyone knows how to dance, even little kids. Someone said Accra is the dancefloor of Ghana, I guess thats how it is.

Of course there is downsides to every place, and in Ghana one big problem is corruption. Its still a developing country, but I found Accra safe to travel. I guess I would have truly seen the downside of Ghana if I went deeper.

Highlights of my trip:
People, sociality, rhythm, amazing dancemoves, chicken massacre, beach, fresh fruits, nice booties, the sun, heat and flirt.

I recommend this bar in Taifa, great place to watch some football.

What to expect in Ghana?
To eat with your hands, pay almost eu-prizes for alcohol, and electronics, the electricity might go out anytime, and you can always try to take down prizes. Sellers might be annoyingly exited to sell you stuff.

How to prepare yourself before going to Ghana?

1. Get yourself a holiday visa, injections, malaria medication and lactic acid bakteria pills.
2. Dont expect anything or anyone to be right on time. Busses leave when theyre full.
3. Vegetarian food is a little hard to find but soymilk is sold almost anywhere and its delicious. Fish and eggs are sold in many places.
4. Take an adaptor to charge electronics.
5. Take some savett. Tidy toilets are rare.

Spain

The special thing about this trip was the fact that I went there alone and without
plans. Travelling alone is something everybody should experience!

I flew to Malaga and travelled in Cadiz, Chipiona, Sevilla and Granada.
Granada was definitely my favourite city.
